Courtney Penzato is a documentary and fine art photographer from Chicago. She is an outgoing person with an exuberant personality and wild imagination. Her unique perspective, along with her attention to detail, is what makes her work stand out (and keeps clients happy).

Courtney is knowledgeable in a wide variety of photographic processes, which include digital, 35mm film, medium format film, several alternative processes, and Impossible Project Polaroid film processes.

Courtney takes a lot of pride in being able to turn a moment into a memory, or simply telling a visual story. She lives a colorful life, which explains the exuberant color found in most of her work. She prefers to shoot as candidly as possible; in order to maintain the raw authenticity that is so prevalent in her work, but she will give direction when it is needed.

When she is not making photographs, chances are she is at a live show, the movies, with her friends or working as an assistant and stylist for Tom Maday and Jeffrey Ross. She has assisted and styled shoots with clients such as: Abbot Labs, Allen Edmunds Shoe Company and Northwest Bank and Trust.

• Her work has been published in the Daily Herald as well as the Lake Zurich Area Community Magazine
• Her work has taken her all over North America.
• She was accepted to the YPA 2012 mentor program. Which allotted her a show in NYC, February of 2013.

Home Widgets Double 1

This is your first double home widget box. To edit please go to Appearance > Widgets and choose the widget called Home Widgets Double 1. Title is also manageable from widgets as well.

1 Communication

The first step in the photographic process is communication. We will spend a few weeks corresponding through email and chatting about your shoot or wedding. Exchanging ideas about your shoot, both the aesthetics you want and details about you personally that help me get to know you better.

2 The Shoot

Whether it’s an all day wedding, a two-hour portrait session or an architecture shoot. This is where all the “action” happens. It’s only a small piece to the puzzle, but it is the most important.

3 Culling & Editing

After the shoot, I will cull (sort through) your images and select the best ones. Then I will apply custom made presets to give them a signature look and feel.

4 Upload & Delivery

After your photos are edited, they will be uploaded to a proofing gallery where you can view all of your images before they’re shipped out. You may also order prints from this site.
